The Chittagong District Sports Association is planning to hold the Port City League (Twenty20 Cricket) with eight teams.
The participating teams will be entitled to recruit two foreign players, two national players, four Dhaka Premier Division Cricketers and three players from Chittagong Division.

Mission:Taking inspiration from two Indian mega events IPL and ICL, the organisers of Chittagong Divisional Krira Sangstha (CDKS) had recently initiated to launch a lucrative Twenty20 league in the port city.Products:Tamim's rate of Tk.7.70 lakh means if he plays all the five matches including final would pocket more than Tk 38 lakh.
Apart from Tamim Iqbal, three other players - - Suhrawardi Shuvo, Junaid Siddique and Abdur Razzak had been sold above Tk. 1 lakh.

Tamim's fellow opener Junaid Siddique, who established him initially as Twenty20 cricketer had been sold Tk. 1.31 lakh at the hands of Dada Warriors against hid floor price of Tk.20,000. Brothers Union bought Grade A+ player Abdur Razzak with Tk. 1.10 lakh.
Apart from Abdur Razzak, Brothers Union bought Tamim's elder brother Nafis Iqbal with Tk. 31,000 against his base price of Tk. 15,000. They formed a formidable team with buying some known faces of Dhaka Premier Division Cricketer like Tusher Imran (Tk. 47,000), Mehrab Hossain Junior (Tk. 68,000), paceman Dollar Mahmud (Tk.15,000). But the most surprising factor that they spent Tk. 62,000 to buy unknown face Rezaul Karim Rajib. All-rounder Rajib played for Dhaka Abahani in this season and made a good impact.
Abahani Limited also made a formidable team with roping in Enamul Haque Junior (Tk. 15,000), paceman Talha Jubair (Tk. 10,000), Syed Rasel (Tk. 20,000), Hannan Sarkar (Tk.47,000) and Abudul Ahad Ripon (Tk. 8,000).
Dada Warriors recruited Arafat Sunny (Tk. 75,000), Rubel Hossain (Tk. 22,000), Imran Ahmed (Tk. 57,000) and Faisal Hossain (Tk. 50,000).
Chittagong Mohammedan on the other hand were not so vocal in the auction and made a mediocre team recruiting Imrul Kayes (Tk. 68,000), Sajidul Islam (Tk.20,000), Tarek Aziz (Tk.15,000), Rasel Al Mamun (Tk.15,000). They bought Javed Omar Belim Gullu only Tk. 8,000 which was his base price.
