Meeting between BPL t20 organiser and franchise: Key notes
A meeting was arranged at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium today between BPL management committee, new six franchises and Game on sports management. The idea behind this meeting was to let the franchise know the policy and rules of the BPL t20 tournament 2012. Gazi Ashraf Lipu , the Director of BPl t20 committee also talked about what franchises have to do now and what types of benefit they will get from BPL organizer. Here is the summarize outcome from this meeting:
1. Franchise has to submit the name and logo of their team before 16th January
2. Their will a educational program about the player auction for franchise on 16th January
3. For every team there will a head coach, an assistant coach, physio, Trainer, Video analyst and a media manager. This will be compulsory for all BPL t20 team. BPL team can take a coach from outside. BLP t20 committee will provide a list of local and foreign coach for this purpose.
4. There will be a list of 90 players for BPL t20 auction for local player which will be prepared by BCB. BPL Team have to buy player only from this list.
5. The director of sport event management, Arjon Gangully mentioned that the title sponsor for the BPl t20 team will be released soon.
6. The base price for the local player for each categories of BPL auction will be lower than the base price for
foreign player
7. A team will able to spend maximum 3 million for buying players at the BPL T20 auction.
8. The matches of BPL t20 will be carried out by international umpires panel.
