Trophy of PCL T20 Bashundhara Cup formally unveiled
The unveiling ceremony of the trophy for the 2nd PCL T20 Bashundhara Cup was held Monday afternoon at a city hotel, reports UNB.
Safean Sobhan, additional managing director of Bashundhara Group, formally unveiled the trophy at a press conference. Port City League (PCL) chairman AZM Nasiruddin, co-chairman Ali Abbas, BCB director and tournament committee chairman Sirajuddin Mohammad Alamgir, and former national cricket team skipper Naimur Rahman Durjoy, among others, were present on the occasion.
Former national cricketer Roqibul Hasan presided over the function.
Sirajuddin Alamgir said the preparations for the tournament were already complete. To spread the domestic cricket across the world, the tournament committee for the first time has taken the initiative to host the meet on foreign soil.
Ticket prices for the tournament have been fixed at Dirham 20 (equivalent to about Tk 400) and for VIP Dirham 30 (about Tk 600) for the tournament. Besides, some Bangladeshi artists will be on the ground to entertain the crowd during gaps in the cricket.
The opening ceremony will include field displays, gallery displays and cultural shows performed by country's popular singer Mumtaz.
Participating teams:
Group A - Chittagong Mohammedan SC, Chittagong Brothers Union Club, Chittagong Tigers and Top Sports Noakhali
Group B - Dhaka Sports Club, Pirates of Chittagong, Bangla Tigers, India and Bangladesh Biman.
